Making Ice

I’ve been playing around with different ideas for the cover of my next book, a figure skating novel called Red Flags. Here is my first attempt to make something that looks like the scratched-up surface of an ice rink. I used the shapes feature on my Mac’s Pages application.

Obviously, this isn’t enough for a book cover. I need the title, my name, some additional artwork. It’s at an embryonic stage here.

I’ll keep playing with it.
